About Open Source

Open source is software you can read. The code is public, so you can see what it does, run it yourself and, within the terms of its licence, change it. This page gathers the products and businesses on Veyza Launch that work this way, from a single-purpose utility to a full platform with a paid hosted version.

Some listings are finished apps. Some are small libraries that a developer drops into a project. Some run on your own server, and some are models with the tooling around them. Each listing has one main category, so a product sits where it fits best. Newest launches appear first, and you can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought. Before relying on anything here, read the licence, look at the repository and see how recently it has been maintained.

Open Source: questions answered

What belongs in the Open Source category?
Products and businesses whose source code is publicly available for others to read and use. That includes apps, libraries, self-hosted software and open AI projects. If the code is closed and only the website is public, it belongs in another category.
How do I choose between the subcategories?
Ask who uses it and where it runs. A finished product for end users suits apps. Code other developers import suits libraries. Software you install on your own server suits self-hosted tools. Models, weights and their tooling suit open source AI.
How do I list my project here?
Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. You choose one main category, included free. A paid upgrade adds more categories if your project spans several.
Can I list in more than one subcategory?
Your main category is free and you pick it when you submit. A paid upgrade adds up to 3 more categories for $5. Choose the main one by who will most likely look for you, then add others only where they genuinely fit.
What should I check when comparing open source options?
Read the licence first, since it sets what you may do with the code. Then look at how recently the project was updated, how clear the documentation is, and how easy it is to leave. Community votes here are a useful signal, though never a substitute.
