free listing or paid launch
A free listing appears later with locked sections. A paid launch goes live now with your full profile unlocked.

What a free listing shows
Your basic profile appears in the free queue about 1-2 weeks out. Paid sections—founder story, milestones, demo video—sit locked behind a grey overlay. Screenshots and comparisons are the exception: visitors see both on a free listing. Visitors see what you've chosen to make public, nothing more.
Before we publish, our badge must be on your website. For a free listing the founder profile must be complete too. We link to you with nofollow, which means search engines won't follow the path or count it.
What a paid launch shows
Paid launches go live now, or in the week you pick. Your full profile unlocks immediately. We link to you with dofollow, so search engines follow the link to your site. Your paid page is also open to indexing.
Adding more to a paid launch
Once you've paid for launch at $5, add-ons are there if you need them: featured placement ($19), extra categories, or bundle options. A paid launch picks its launch week for free. Free listings have one upgrade: a full launch at $5, the same as the launch price, with the week of your choice.
Change your mind
You can upgrade from free to paid at any time. Log in to /account/listings and make the switch. That's all there is to it.
Questions people ask
- When does my free listing appear?
- About 1-2 weeks after you submit. Paid launches can go live now or whenever you choose.
- Why ask for a badge on my site?
- Our badge must be on your website before a free listing is published. For a free listing the founder profile must be complete too.
- Does free or paid make a difference to search engines?
- Yes. Free listings get a nofollow link to your website. A thin free page may be kept out of search results until it has enough content. Paid launches get dofollow links, and their pages are always open to indexing.
